Pastor Erick, “I captured this image at the (Work Camp) site where we were clearing away the debris and the rubble for the building that burned to the ground. And as we were shoveling and hauling away cinder blocks and sheet metal and old propane tanks — literally tons of unidentified rubbish, I saw this. There was this incredible sprout, a single plant growing up out of this site of disaster. An image of what it looks like to be delightfully defiant.”
