Normally that would mean we are all done. In this case it means we are on the home stretch. The steeple has been lifted back into place and wrapped in insulating material so that the wood construction and finishing can be done in place in cold weather. The space inside the big bubble wrap can be heated, allowing work to proceed. Unveiling? Expected in mid-March.

That was pastor Erick’s reaction when he first saw the large new fan in the center of the Chapel ceiling. This fan is one more step in reducing our carbon footprint, to go along with installing more efficient lighting and heating the office spaces with heat pump mini-splits. Hot air rises, and it does no good pooled in the top of the chapel ceiling. This will keep it moving. We are continuing to work toward being more energy efficient to reduce costs and to be good citizens of planet earth.
