New Doors for the Norfolk Food Pantry
Jan Graham-Jones (left) and Gloria Gourley welcome visitors to the Norfolk Food Pantry through one of the two sets of newly installed double doors. The old doors were difficult to unlock and open, and deemed unsafe by the Fire Marshall. The food pantry is housed on the bottom floor of Battell Chapel and is open Tuesday-Friday from 10 AM to 1 PM. The major portion of this costly project was covered by a grant to the food pantry from the Northwest CT Community Foundation Draper Foundation Fund. The pantry has been growing quickly both in terms of what is available and number of visitors. Monetary and food donations to the food pantry are always welcome. And you can follow the food pantry on Facebook.
