A November 2023 video update on our Steeple Restoration progress. Pastor Erick interviews Paul Bastiaance of Valley Restoration, LLC, lead contractor on the project. The first work to be done was Lead Abatement which has been completed with the removal of 12 coats of paint, uncovering a great deal of rotted wood. Paul comes from a family of steeplejacks, and tells an interesting personal history at the end of the video.
And here is an update from the project daily log for Friday, November 17th – “Met with Kingsland and have a plan with them for replacements. Demo has started on the lantern and epoxy has been delivered to the Church and stored on the balcony level. Steel supports are still in process and as soon as we have the material we can schedule to crane.”
