Spiritual Amnesia
This quote is from Pastor Erick’s Blog, “On Our Way.” The title of last Friday’s post is “Beauty and the Bees” which makes perfect sense when you read it.
“We are badly in need of a corrective to our spiritual amnesia, not merely as a means of making our news feed less bad. My hope is that we – myself included – will focus more and more on the good news that everything is, as Andrew G. Lang puts it, “infused with the sacred.” It’s never a mistake to push ourselves with intention to look for the good and the loveliness around and within. Pausing with intention to seek out this divinity is exactly the kind of healing we all need, especially if it allows us to find this beauty in things that occasionally sting.”
